- Q: How can Pharos International, and the TracFone system claim nationwide
service?
- A: We have a working relationship with the major carriers across the nation
(e.g. Bell Atlantic® on the east coast, Ameritech® in the Midwest,
Pacific Bell® in the west, and Bell South®). These established companies
provide the quality of service you have relied on for your phone service.
- Q: Do you have digital (PCS) phones that I've seen advertisements about?
- A: Yes
- Q: Do the phones call, or work out of country?
- A: Yes. Tracfone requires calling cards for international calling..
- Q: Can we use our current cell phone for your service?
- A: No. We have a special computer chip in our phones that provides the prepaid
instructions. A retrofit of another phone would be cost prohibitive.
- Q: Do you offer free nights and weekends?
- A: You pay a higher monthly rate, with a one-year contract for those "free"
services. We offer the very low rate of $8.00 a month for your cell phone
service. You pay only for the calls you make. What you don't use, you don't
lose.
- Q: Huh?
- A: We are probably the only phone service company that puts in writing "you
never lose your call time*". Any "time" you have remaining gets rolled over
into the next service cycle. This is true even if you forget to renew your
service, and have to start it up again. *If cellular service is deactivated
four or more months, you may lose all your airtime.
- Q: Is this $8 an extra charge for service with Tracfone?
- A: No, the $8 monthly minimum includes both one month service and 10 min.

- Q: Is there any penalty for restarting my service.
- A: Many companies do charge you with a reconnect fee to restart your phone
service if it has been disconnected. We have no penalties or reconnect fee.

- A: The people who benefit best from our service fall in at least the listed

- Q: How can I pay. Can I use my credit or debit card, and do you accept checks
on-line?
- A: Yes, to all of the above. Simply click the appropriate icon to use the
desired service.
